If you have been actively blogging and reading blogs for some time there is one blogging trend that is hard to miss: successful bloggers all have buddies!

Darren Rowse teamed up with Chris Garret for their book ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income.

Yaro Starak and Gideon Shalwick are right now busy promoting their Become a Blogger program and one successful blogger promoting Become a Blogger is Daniel Scocco of Daily Blog Tips.

Not surprisingly, when Daniel started his own membership site Online Profits Darren Rowse of ProBlogger and John Chow promoted the program on their blogs.

The power of collaboration in the blogging world cannot be underestimated. Yes, we can all start our own blogs and run it too, but to be successful in blogging you cannot do it all alone.

Why successful bloggers have blogging buddies and so should you!

The Golden Rule: Do unto others what you would like to be done to you.

Blogs by design and structure are built for collaboration and participation. The comment function is where others can share their thoughts and ideas with the blogger. How successful a blogger is, can be gauged by the number of comments in his blog or, put in another way, the participation of his community of readers in his blog.

Leverage each one’s readers to promote the other’s blogs. When bloggers with fairly substantial following promote another blog or another blogger’s ebook for instance, it results in massive publicity and credibility for the latter blogger. They share their traffic.

It’s really important to connect with another blogger in real life especially when you are starting out. This keeps the “work” more real. Talk over and discuss stuffs you face in your blogging business. Be it lack of authenticity or how hard blogging really is!

Especially when you are starting out consider your visitors, however few they are, your buddies. Ask them what they like and what they detest. Know your target niche. This will have significant positive impact on your blogging and guide your blogging in the right direction.

Get feedbacks and ask for criticism from other bloggers in your niche. Although most of my ‘readers’ perspective’ is from my visitors who care enough to take the time to comment and tell me what is working for them or not and why, getting a blogging buddy to critique your writing and style of writing could do wonders.

Do not forget to promote and talk about your buddies blog or projects on your blog! Be authentic and real when recommending your buddy’s work to your readers. They will learn the truth in another second or two any way.
