There could be the most glaring error, and I'll miss it every time. Then when I hand the document to my boss, he will catch it with the quickest glance. Ouch. Inevitably, there will be some stray word or phrase that should have been deleted, but wasn't. This happens a lot with lawyers. My biggest proofreading challenge is with proofing my own typing.
